He shook off and laid his head on her naked stomach hoping she understood that he missed her too, how he missed her every day since they had first met. He licked her stomach and she giggled, turning over away from him. did he turn her now? no, it was a painful process, he wanted her to have every good memory with him when she became a wolf like him. His mate, his companion, his one and only, how could he have doubted her return? He was her home and as his naked wood nymph laid on the bank, staring up at the half moon. "Do you remember how we howled at the moon?" she asked as she absentmindedly petted the wolf

He sat up and looked up at the half moon, and howled, he heard her laugh, it sounded like birdsong and he howled again, hearing her howl with him he felt his heart swell. There was no one else for him when beauties like this were so willing to be with him, no matter his station within the compound. He howled again and he felt her stroke his back and howl with him, he licked her face, wondering how they would go about the complicated ritual that was turning a human into a werewolf.

She fell asleep against him, like she always did while he laid motionless afraid of disturbing his princess thinking of the best way to get her to become a werewolf without harming her too much. He growled when he smelled another wolf in the vicinity, it was his beta Ivan. He walked out of the forest towards the pair and the alpha wolf didn't dare move but instead bared his teeth towards his beta that backed into the woods before reemerging as a wolf.

She had heard the noise and sat up, "Peter? Is there..," he felt the fear before he heard it and she whimpered when she saw the second wolf approaching them.

Peter stood up and barked at the second wolf, could his beta not leave him alone with his only happiness? She only trusted the golden wolf due to their long and troubled history and the silvery wolf backed off, turning tail and running back into the woods, sufficiently scared. The golden wolf walked around her and licked her arm trying to tell her she was safe but Catherine looked spooked, she stroked his head and then played with one of his soft ears "a friend of yours?"

Peter let out a low whine "or an enemy perhaps?"

He shook his head "Sometimes, I swear you can understand me."

Of course he understood her, every word, every complaint, every noise and look, every small motion and emotion. He knew his perfect match inside and out, every night was consumed with thoughts of her, her voice, and her touch. Catherine was his perfect obsession, and now she lay naked next to him, affectionately playing with his fur, her trust and love for him endless.

"My parents, they keep saying that I have to go to college, I don't know if I'll be allowed to ever come back and visit you." she muttered laying back down on the grassy bank.

His heart stopped, he had to make it this time or he'd lose his angel forever "The city makes me sick, I always feel so weak, they say I have some kind of disorder, the pollution... but I don't know, I think the forest is my home, you're my home Peter." She sighed and he nudged her arm, she laid on her wolf, he curled around her protectively as he was wont to do. "I never want to have to leave you."

He whimpered quietly and there was silence for a while as she closed her eyes "I love you Peter,"

He wanted to tell her, he wanted to tell her so much that he had dedicated his life to her and would continue for the rest of his days to love her and cherish her but afraid of scaring her he just laid still, listening to her breathing even out as his naked nature angel fell back asleep against him. The next night he would make her his, and take her away from all of the sickening cities and keep her with him until he passed on. He hoped that she would still love him after what he was about to do.

"Why exactly are we here?" Shawn said at the edge of the forest, his entire pack was standing at the edge of the forest, wearing all black and facing a small cabin. He sounded annoyed and Ivan hushed him.

"The girl in this house. She is my chosen mate." Peter said in a tone that begged no argument.

"What about Cordelia?" Shawn asked and Peter sent him a withering glare

"a mistake, this girl, she's the one. I don't care what you do with the family, all they've done is abuse her." Peter slipped out of the forest and into the yard, followed by the beta

"Which one is the girl we're not supposed to harm?" Shawn asked looking at the wooden cabin.

"She smells like nature." Peter said facing his clan, they looked at him strangely, but nodded. The five of them moved towards the small wood cabin in the woods, surrounding it. It had to be one or two in the morning, as the moon was already past its peak. Ivan ripped the front door open and Peter bust in the back screen door that he had watched Catherine burst out of and suddenly the whole house was filled with screams. He checked each room until he smelled her. She was in the final room in the cabin, her knees drawn to her chest in fear as Peter came in the room, his eyes alight with desire as he looked at his angel cowering in the corner of the bed. He was slightly hurt by the look and wished he could tell her that he was her best friend, that he was her home, but he couldn't voice anything. The tall werewolf picked her up, feeling her kick and scream against him, quiet cries and he felt his heart hurt more than any blow could give him. How could he do this to his angel? How could he scare her like this when she only trusted him? "Shhh shhh, Catherine, cooperate a little and I promise I will make it worth your while."

"Let me go! God dammit! Let me go!" she was a little spitfire, angry and justified, as she writhed in his arms he sighed, carrying her out of her bedroom, she screamed for bloody murder and he couldn't bring himself to silence her. Instead he held her as they walked outside, she was not very strong, only spirited. They waited in the back yard, where they had met so many times over the five years. "Let me go! What do you want!?"

Peter didn't respond and saw Shawn and Gwen exit the house first, covered in blood, finally Ivan. He realized the whole family had been killed except for the small girl. She screamed again and Ivan looked irritated "If she keeps that up, we're going to be caught in minutes rather than hours."

Peter laid her gently on the ground and straddled her body, the angry Catherine fought valiantly, but when the wolf grabbed her face in her fingers she was forced to look at her captor.

She stared up at him, her eyes full of tears "P-P-Pe-Peter?" she gasped and he closed his eyes sadly how had she known it was him? He had betrayed her trust, and covered her mouth and nose with his hands until she passed out from lack of oxygen

Her cradled her limp body gently, kissing her on the forehead, perhaps she could be turned while she was asleep. This was for the best, this way she could be with him forever. She was home.

  Chapter 1

When she woke up, Catherine realized that she was freezing, and it was dark. Her last memory was falling asleep in her cabin bed and as the blonde girl felt around on the cold hard ground to see if she could find out where she was Catherine heard breathing behind her. "Please," her voice was weak and she knew it, had she been kidnapped? Was this a bad dream?

"Finally," a voice rasped and she felt fur up against her arm, causing her to squeal and fall forward onto her elbows, scraping them on the rock floor. "We have you at last."

She couldn't see but she could feel the danger around her, Catherine didn't know where it could be from or where it was at. All she knew now is that there was a large dog somewhere around her in the inky blackness of night.

"Please! I just want to go home, my parents will know I'm missing!" She backed up into another animal that growled at her and she yelped and stood up shakily. It was true, her parents would know she was missing eventually, probably tomorrow afternoon. She knew this trip with them during her fall break was a bad idea, but Catherine felt like there wouldn't be many more vacations up to the family cabin. So she reluctantly agreed. Would her sister wake up in the middle of the night and alert her parents? Would anyone know the college student had been taken?

She was never a very careful girl, always getting into trouble in the woods. Catherine always felt more at home in the forest
than in the city, the nature seemed to replenish her, running barefoot throughout the dense forest was something she had been doing since she could walk. School had taken her away from weekend trips to the cabin, and while she had made some friends at the small college where she was getting her biology degree, she knew it would be a matter of time before she just moved up here anyways. She would never get the chance now, she was sure this was the end for her.

"Alpha let me." One voice called out from the darkness, her hearing sharpened and she looked to the direction the voice was coming from. Catherine was sure at any minute her legs were going to give out from underneath her, who was alpha?

"Ivan you are always so fucking eager." another voice replied, "We can do nothing, we must take her to…dammit…Frederick first" everyone's voices sounded strained and she heard movement around her before she was knocked over backwards again by a dog.

"Please I don't know what I can do for you, just let me go. My parents don't have much, I'm not worth the trouble!" She closed her eyes and felt a pair of strong arms pick her up. Catherine was short, only five feet and a few inches and had a small frame. She screamed as she was picked up and began flailing. However whoever had picked her up seemed unfazed, his hard naked chest took her blows easily and she felt long claws through her clothing as she was tossed over his shoulder. He didn't cry when she punched him, he didn't touch her when she clawed at him, he walked steadily forward and eventually they came out of a long tunnel into the woods.

She looked around to see wolves around her, they were almost as tall as her and looked up at her eagerly, their black beady eyes reflected the moonlight as they ran around the man who was carrying her. Catherine's curly blonde hair fell in front of her face and she couldn't see them anymore, just the skin of the man who was carrying her. Fear thrummed through her body as she was carried patiently through the forest, down hills, over rivers, and through dense brush. Nothing touched her though, no branches no leaves, every so often an arm would grip her tighter, or rub her leg as she sobbed uncontrollably, and after an hour or more, she was not sure they stopped.

Catherine knew she was going to be fed to the wolves that had followed her. She knew it must be some ritual for the man who had carried her to murder blonde virgins or something in the forest. This was what her life had amounted to, fed to wolves in some crazy black magic ritual. Her body was quaking with sobs and she heard a wolf whine somewhere. No doubt ready to feast on her and getting impatient! Where were the other men that were talking to the one who had carried her out?

"Please, don't kill me." She choked out, her voice weak, but the man carrying her didn't respond, instead two strong arms came around her midsection and sat her down gently on the ground. She shook with fear and her legs didn't support her anymore and she collapsed, crying even harder. Catherine was eighteen, blonde, with light blue eyes, and going to be eaten by wolves before she even got to kiss a guy.

An arm caught her and she covered her face and sobbed, hoping he'd somehow take mercy on her.

"Peter, what is this about!" A shocked voice came somewhere behind her and she felt herself uncovering her face to see in the full moon dirty long blonde hair that looked unwashed for weeks and face that looked like it belonged to a statue, a five o'clock shadow with a strained expression, his eyes completely black. He was looking at something behind her.

"I couldn't restrain myself, I had to this time." His voice sounded stilted almost as if he was in pain. His eyes darted down to the blonde girl and she stared back up at him her eyes slowly filling with tears.

"Peter," the voice behind her sounded disappointed and she felt him lay her down on the ground, it was soft, she thought as she turned to get on her hands and knees. It was moss; it felt good against her cuts and scrapes that she had received throughout the night. A wolf brushed against her and lay down next to her. She screamed and stumbled back into another wolf that had been standing there. Catherine decided to stay still, she brought her knees to her chest and watch the wolf that had initially laid down next to her, move towards her again, laying his head at her feet. He had silvery fur that looked pettable, another wolf sat down beside her.

"Peter, you shouldn't have taken her without permission we had talked…" the man she noted, was older than "Peter" but not significantly so, he showed signs of age but couldn't be older than sixty. He was fit, and had scars running down his arms and face.

"Alpha, I had to, I didn't know when she'd be back. We need her." Peter sounded hurt, and lost. Were they not going to murder her after all tonight? But what was the meaning of this; she felt a cold nose nudge her arm and a black wolf looked at her, tilting its head before licking one of her wounds. She hissed and drew her arm away.

"You've banged her up, she's bleeding all over. I'm disappointed in what you have done," there was a pause and she felt the black wolf's tail swish. "However, she is more than needed here, and she is yours."

"What!" Catherine cried from the ground and stood up, her legs barely held her up and she began to back slowly away from the pack of wolves that were eagerly watching her, and the blonde man who was approaching her. "Please please Catherine" he pleaded his strides becoming quicker

"How do you know my name!?" She screamed and she took off into the woods and in a flash she heard a growl and she turned to witness the man turn into one of many of the large wolves. His fur was golden like his hair.

The blonde dodged through trees and finally her bare foot caught itself on a root, stubbing her toe and causing her to fall forward, rolling down a hill, twigs and rocks banging her up as she slid to the bottom through dead leaves on the forest floor. She stopped at the bottom of the hill, bloody and beaten up, her breath coming fast as she saw wolf after wolf line up at the top, the golden one ran down urgently, almost excitedly, to meet the frail, bleeding girl at the bottom. Catherine exhaled heavily. This was the last thing she would see, a gold wolf man coming to eat her.

The gold wolf was huge, he towered over her, his frame was wide, his muzzle long, his eyes an inky black. He had no scars that she could see, his fur shone in the full moon. He lowered her head to one of her arms and nudged it to reveal a wound and licked it gently. She felt tears well up in her eyes as she realized that he was just tasting her to see if she was ripe enough, but she remembered in the conversation that he said that he had waited too long to have her.

He licked her face, along with her tears and looked down at her, hot panting breaths billowing over her wet face, he looked sad? Scared? She couldn't place the emotion she saw in the golden wolf's eyes. His breathing was labored and he licked her face again, was he trying to comfort her before he killed her? Was this some game?

His long hot tongue ran up her neck this time, no, the golden wolf was definitely going to devour her. He looked up at her again, his eyes meeting hers; Catherine didn't know what to do so she did the only thing she had wanted to do. She touched his ear.

His fur was silken soft and the golden wolf seemed ecstatic that she would touch him at all and lowered his head closer to her small bloodied hand, letting her reach more of him. She pet him again and he nudged her hand. All of his fur was so soft; she smiled weakly, and felt him lick her face again. An upset whine left the wolf's lips as he nudged her neck off to the side and her eyes widened as she realized he was going to eat her after all.

The golden wolf howled above her, causing the pack at the top of the hill to howl in response before a sharp pain came down on her shoulder, and suddenly the moon was brighter and the searing pain turned into a flooding warmth that lit all of her nerve endings on fire, and Catherine knew pure pleasure before her world went dark.

The crackling of the fire is what woke her up the next time. Her shoulder was sore, and the small cuts all over her body didn't help it. She saw Peter again; he was in tattered jeans poking the tinder with a branch. A soft cry was all she could manage and he looked alarmed. "Catherine," he looked worried and she felt worried at his response.

  Another set o
f hands grabbed her and water was brought to her lips, she drank it eagerly and looked up to see the old man from the woods who was wearing an unbuttoned flannel shirt that exposed his scarred chest and some tattered pants that looked like they were khakis at one point. "Catherine, how are you feeling?" his voice was soft as he brushed blonde curls out of her face, a soft smile gracing his lips, he looked like he had just shaved recently, soft blue eyes searched hers.

"What happened?" she rasped out, all of her muscles felt like she had just ran a marathon and she raised her hands to the cup of water he had offered before.

"You're one of us now, just rest, Peter will get you anything you need." He stroked her face affectionately and laid her back down on what seemed to be a nest of blankets

She rolled over in order to sit up her shoulder throbbed in pain causing her to hiss through her teeth. "Be careful," Peter chided sitting down next to her

"Can I go home?" She asked quietly, looking over at the fire. Were they in a cave? It appeared so.

"No, not anymore." She looked over at him and he was focused on the fire as well. He looked like he hadn't slept in awhile, his hair was sticking in all directions but he had a well defined broad chest that tapered down into a slim midsection and a teasing v that lead into his loose jeans.

"What do you mean not anymore?" She asked, trying to take her eyes off of his figure and embarrassingly staring at the nest of blankets that she had been sleeping in.

"You're one of us." She felt his eyes on her and met them, they still were black, just like when he was a wolf "I bit you, I've turned you into a werewolf."

"What?" Catherine felt her body shake in fear

"I've waited for years, please understand Catherine, you are mine."
